  • WHO: Michael Moore, Director of ‘Sicko’ will stream in for a Q & A after the movie showing. Donna Smith, who appears in ‘Sicko’ and is the National Advisory Board Chair of Progressive Democrats of America, will also be a special guest after the viewing. Additionally, Senator Bernie Sanders’ official presidential campaign photographer, Bryan Giardinelli, will be there to document the event.

TACOMA, WA — Whole Washington, a grassroots group dedicated to passing Universal Healthcare, has filed an Initiative to the Legislature. The ballot measure, I-1471, will create The Washington Health Trust and guarantee high-quality and comprehensive benefits that include vision, dental, reproductive healthcare, audiology, mental health services, prescription drug coverage and more to all Washington State residents. This comprehensive system will be the first state-wide, publicly funded, non-profit health care trust in the country. Saturday marks the kickoff of the signature collection campaign.
